Lou Davis

print & pattern, rhythm & ritual

About

I am an Edinburgh based printmaker and artist. I’ve exhibited drawings, prints and mixed media work throughout the UK. Since 2015 I’ve focused more on printmaking, and in particular work in relief printing with lino and in screen printing.

My work is often abstract, I’m drawn to pattern, repetition and finding disorder and in the midst of regularity. I’m interested in the spirituality behind every day life and the rhythms that sustain us. Much of my work is inspired by my work as a minister in the church and the grace and chaos I see every day in the lives of those around me.
